Cait’s Review:
I like this movie! It’s a sweet story, and has a lot of heart. Hugh Grant does a great job, and Toni Collette is FANTASTIC as always! The relationship between Will and Marcus is adorable, and it’s good to see them both grow. I also appreciate that it tackles some really tough conversations. While there is some humor, it’s more of a drama, so not really what I’d recommend if you’re looking for a comedy. It’s a nice movie to watch once in a while, but not one you want to watch all the time.

Cait’s gives it: B

Joe’s Synopsis:
“A socially-underdeveloped man in his 30’s habitually entertains an adolescent without his mother’s knowledge”

Joe’s Review:
The only thing I remembered about this movie is the time segmentation, and holy crap, he takes a 30min bath, 1 hour jack off session, and 2 hour “hair styling” each day?? Anyway, cute movie. I like how he becomes a father figure to the boy, and goes through the real-life issues of being a non-parental father figure (being accused of inappropriate behavior).
It’s a good feel-good movie, a bit on the lighter side and yet still not appropriate for kids

Joe Gives it: 3/5 (C) (rev 2/5 (D+))
